How the International Yoga Day started

Yoga Day was started by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

On 24 september of 2014, PM Modi had gone to join the united nations general assembly.

where he describing India’s ancient tradition and said that yoga was an invaluable gift of india.

After this, on December 11, 2014, in the United Nations General Assembly, 177 members approved the proposal to celebrate “International Yoga Day” on 21 June.

This resolution was passed with an absolute majority in just 90 days and with this.

This proposal of PM Modi of India became the resolution to be passed in the United States in the shortest days.
